Coral Power BioControl is essential for establishing a complete nitrification and denitrification process in marine aquariums.  It is a specially formulated bacteria blend carefully designed to provide additional nutrient cycling support. a blend of 4 bacteria for complete nitrification and denitrification, plus 4 bacillus species for nutrient cycling support.

The specific microbial blend uses carbon sources within your system to convert nitrates into nitrogen gas, without depleting oxygen or requiring a special anaerobic zone. BioControl's bacterial formulation is formulated to enhance nitrogen mitigation in marine environments and works in the complete nitrogen cycle, ensuring the removal of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate through aerobic biological processes.

Please note this product should be stored in the refrigerator after opening to prolong shelf life and should be used within 12 months of opening.

Dosage rate: All Marine Aquariums - 2ml / 100L / week

The above dosage rate is a recommended rate for most aquarium tanks.  Dosing too much Coral Power BioControl can cause a sharp drop in Nitrate levels.  Coral Essentials always recommends nitrate levels at 3-5ppm.  Please ensure you keep testing nitrate levels and make sure your tank level does not reach a level significantly below this.  As nitrate acts as a food for coral, extremely low levels may cause corals to pale out.  Reduce the dosage if this is not your intended outcome.  Other options are to increase feeding or use Coral Power Nitrate Up to maintain levels. A robust bacteria level and consistent feeding will produce the best results for coral in the aquarium.

It is not recommended to dose Coral Power BioControl via dosing pumps, we recommend to dose directly out of the bottles the product is manufactured in.  To increase shelf life it should be stored in the refrigerator.
